Here is your opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older adults and give back to the community.

York West Active Living Centre (YWALC) is a non-profit community-based resource centre for persons 55 years of age and older residing in the City of Toronto. YWALC’s mission is to promote, encourage and support healthy, independent living through a wide range of health and wellness programs, educational workshops, and multicultural activities.

Our Centre is a member-based organization that is governed by a Board of Directors, all of whom are volunteers and/or members of the Centre.

YWALC is currently looking to fill two vacant positions from the community.
Positions to be fill include but not limited to the follow skill set:

  • Fundraising
  • Legal

Your commitment is approximately 3 hours per month for a term that would begin September 2024 and conclude October 2026 with the potential for re-election.

The Program Assistant will be responsible for the effective and responsive delivery of social, physical and health and wellness programming as well as information and referral services for our membership in both Spanish and English.
